The Career Coach Collaboration has been selected as the Education Project of the Year by the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce. The collaboration efforts of Nemo Vista, Wonderview and UACCM has provided a career coach for both schools to work directly with high school students to expose them to career options and assistance in applying for college and trade schools. The College and Career Coach Project is designed to motivate and support Arkansas students and adults to achieve their college and career planning goals. Mrs. Lisa Short, Career Coach, provides assistance and information for academic tutoring, career counseling, mentoring, and financial guidance resources. She also provides other supports necessary for postsecondary education/training access, retention, and success. Finally, the program helps high school students define their career aspirations and to recognize community college and other post-secondary programs, including apprenticeships, workforce training, and military careers that can help students achieve their future life goals.
